Your Year-end Appeal 2020
and Board Update
Keeping the Promise!
Dear Valued Family Promise Supporter,
This year has been incredibly challenging for all of us, particularly for the families we serve. Despite the many obstacles presented to us this year, Family Promise of Monmouth County has proudly served over 30 families in 2020 - with eight families currently in the program that could use your support!
Please visit our website at www.familypromisemc.org/donate to make your year-end appeal donation today!
Please note - one of our generous donors has established a 100% match for every dollar you donate before year-end 2020.
With your help, Family Promise of Monmouth County will be able to continue excellent case management and support services as well as secure the resources needed to expand our capacity to serve, as we anticipate the number of families needing our services will increase in 2021 driven by the economy and the pandemic.
Generous gifts from supporters like you have made the following possible:
In March 2020, five families successfully completed our program and are currently living independently!
While we could not provide shelter from March - June, Family Promise continued to provide remote case management services to over 20 families!
These services included:
administration of funds for rental arrears and security deposits
purchasing and delivering food
tutoring for children who were remote learning
guidance about applying for and receiving unemployment as well as other financial assistance.
During the month of July, in addition to our comprehensive case management services, we began offering shelter to families in local motels. We currently have eight families successfully participating in our program.
Our network of volunteers from multiple congregations were able to continue their support of Family Promise even when we were unable to provide shelter and have now committed to sending weekly support to our currently sheltered families.
Family Promise pursues and receives funding from multiple areas including private and government grants, individual donors, and event sponsors. This year, due to COVID restrictions, we were unable to hold our annual fundraising events. Therefore, support from individuals like yourself at this time of year is vitally important to the future of Family Promise.
Thank you for your generous support!
